FAQ

HOW DO I CONTACT YOU FOR AN ESTIMATE?

You can simply call us at (703)-430-9171 or email us at Tina@beauchainbuilders.com and let us know you would like an estimate.

WHERE DO I START?

Starting can be as simple as calling us at Beauchain Builders Inc. Our number is (703)-430-9171. You can also visit us here, on our website. Just go to “SCHEDULE CONSULTATION,” enter your information and we can set up a consultation appointment time that is convenient for you.

DO I GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FROM YOU?

Yes, you do. After we have completed the design process with you, Beauchain Builders Inc. will provide you with a written estimate. While a rough estimate is free, a full design with specified pricing requires a design contract. Deposits for the design are automatically applied to the final contract as credit.

DO YOU DO MAJOR REMODELING?

Yes, we do major remodeling. Beauchain Builders will do major restorations as well as full house renovations.

WHEN CAN YOU BEGIN?

Once you and our designer have determined the specifics of your project and a contract has been signed, project materials will be ordered, and once we have the ETA on all materials, the production department will set a start date that works best for you.

HOW DO YOU KEEP ME INFORMED DURING THE REMODELING PROCESS?

You will be given a project calendar with all major milestones. This calendar is updated through out the process, and will be emailed to you whenever updates occur.

DO YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES?

Yes, we provide references. It is part of our presentation package that you will receive at your first consultation.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY DO YOU PROVIDE?

We take great pride and confidence in the work we do and so we provide a two year labor warranty. Additionally, all installed manufacturer warranties are in place.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS AFTER MY RENOVATION IS COMPLETED?

Contact the office via email or phone call, and we will be happy to assist you.

IF OR WHEN YOU CONTRACT WORK TO OTHERS, HOW DO YOU ENSURE THEIR WORK IS UP TO YOUR STANDARDS?

All projects are continuously inspected for quality and contract compliance by a project manager or field supervisor. Additionally all vendors are required to carry commercial liability insurance and current certificates of insurance are kept on file in the office.

HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TAKE FROM START TO FINISH?

Every project is unique. It depends on the size of the project. However, typically bathrooms take 4-8 weeks and kitchens take 9-12 weeks.

DO I HAVE TO MOVE OUT OF MY HOUSE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS?

It depends on the size of the project, but typically no. We can section off the construction area using plastic zip walls.

HOW DO WE PREPARE THE HOUSE FOR REMODELING AND HOW DOES THE CONTRACTOR PREPARE FOR THE WORK?

All client content needs to be removed by the client prior to the project start date from the work area. We also advise that artwork or wall hangings be taken down by the client in adjoining rooms. Construction often causes vibrations that travel through the walls and it’s important that your valuable artwork be stored in a secure location away from the construction area. We will prepare your home for construction by laying down tarps to protect the flooring and walkways as well as put filters/coverings over vents and installing plastic to section off the work zone. Any furniture left in a work area will be covered with tarps and/or plastics.

WILL THERE BE A BIG MESS ONCE YOU’RE COMPLETED?

No, projects are cleaned up daily as well as upon the completion of the project. Our proposals also include a professional cleaning option.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO DO A RENOVATION?

For interior projects anytime of the year is great! Larger projects that require exterior work are better during the spring, summer, and fall months. Speak to our consultants about your individual project and they will be able to advise you on the best time for your project.

IF I TAKE OUT A WALL TO MAKE AN AREA MORE OPEN, WILL THAT AFFECT THE STRUCTURE OF MY HOUSE?

This will depend on whether or not it is a load bearing wall. This will be determined during the design process, but if your wall is load bearing, there are still options to remove it.

CAN YOUR CONSULTANTS MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MAKING MY HOME MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT?

Yes, they absolutely can
